Trivets & Hot Pads
About this collection
Cork trivets, hot pads and pot stands protect your table and worktop from hot pots, pans and serving dishes. Choose round, square or oval classics, matching sets of three, or shaped and printed designs, from Ø150 to Ø300 mm and 9 to 24 mm thick.
Cork is a poor conductor of heat, light to handle and gentle on most surfaces, which is why it has been used under hot cookware for generations.
How to choose a cork trivet
Choose by the base of the dish, not the handles or rim: Ø200 mm suits most everyday saucepans, Ø245–300 mm larger dishes. A thicker trivet (20–24 mm) puts more cork between the dish and the table. Read our full cork trivet and hot pad guide.
Is a cork trivet the same as a pot holder?
Not quite. In the US, a pot holder usually means a fabric pad for gripping hot handles. A cork trivet or hot pad stays on the table as a resting base; use oven gloves to lift cookware.
Are cork trivets heat resistant?
Cork conducts heat poorly, so it works well under hot dishes. No maximum temperature is declared for our trivets, so keep them away from open flames, hobs and burners.
Can cork trivets go in the dishwasher?
No. Wipe with a lightly damp cloth and let them dry fully.
Do you supply shops and restaurants?
Yes. Quantities, lead times and samples are agreed through our B2B & Wholesale page.
