What adhesive should I use?
Use a quality contact adhesive (contact cement). Apply to both the tile and the wall, wait until tacky, then press firmly. Available at any hardware store.

Yes — you can apply cork-compatible varnish or paint if you wish. The natural wax finish is ready to use straight out of the box.
