SHIPPING POLICY

1. ORDER PROCESSING & PRODUCTION TIME

Please note that Processing Time (how long it takes to prepare your order) is different from Shipping Time (how long the carrier takes to deliver).

  • Standard Products (In Stock): Processed and dispatched within 1–3 business days.
  • Personalized/Custom Products: These items require a production period of 5 to 15 business days (depending on quantity and complexity) before they are ready to ship.

You will receive a notification email with your UPS Tracking Number as soon as your order leaves our warehouse in Portugal.

2. SHIPPING RATES & ESTIMATES

We ship exclusively via UPS to ensure the fastest and most reliable service for our global customers. Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout based on the volumetric weight of your items and your destination.

Estimated Transit Times (via UPS):

  • European Union (UPS Standard): 2–5 Business Days.
  • USA & Canada (UPS Express Saver): 3–5 Business Days.
  • Rest of World (UPS Express Saver): 5–7 Business Days.

*Note: Transit times are estimates provided by the carrier and do not include customs processing times.

3. B2B & WHOLESALE SHIPPING (EX-WORKS & FREIGHT QUOTES)

For our professional partners and bulk orders, we offer flexible logistics solutions to optimize costs:

  • Option A: Standard Courier (UPS): For smaller B2B orders/samples, you can use our negotiated UPS rates directly at checkout.
  • Option B: Freight Quote (Air & Container): For large quantities (pallets or full container loads), standard courier rates may not be the most economical. We can provide a custom shipping quote for Air Freight or Sea Freight (Container). Please select "Freight Quote Request" at checkout or contact us at info@corkmart.com before paying.
  • Option C: Ex-Works (Pick Up): You may choose to use your own forwarder or carrier. Select the "Ex-Works / Pick Up" option at checkout.
    Once your order is packed and ready, we will send you an email with the pickup details (warehouse address in Santa Maria da Feira, Portugal, box dimensions, and weight) so you can schedule the collection.

4. CUSTOMS, DUTIES & TAXES

Important for Non-EU Customers (USA, UK, Brazil, Asia, etc.):

CorkMart is based in Portugal (European Union). Orders shipped outside the EU may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and fees levied by the destination country.

The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to such import taxes, customs duties, and fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches the recipient's country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be fulfilled by the recipient; CorkMart has no control over these charges, nor can we predict what they may be.

Refusal to pay these fees will result in the package being abandoned or returned. In such cases, the cost of return shipping and original shipping will be deducted from any refund.

5. DAMAGES AND LOST PACKAGES

All our shipments are insured. If your order arrived damaged, please contact us immediately at info@corkmart.com with photos of the damaged goods and the packaging.

Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.

6. ADDRESS ACCURACY & DELIVERY ATTEMPTS

6.1. Incorrect Address: It is your responsibility to provide a complete and accurate shipping address (including apartment number, zip code, and phone number). CorkMart is not responsible for packages delivered to incorrect addresses provided by the customer. If a package is returned to us due to an incomplete or incorrect address, you will be responsible for the cost of re-shipping.

6.2. Failed Delivery Attempts: UPS will typically attempt to deliver your package up to 3 times. If they are unable to deliver after these attempts, or if you fail to pick up the package from a UPS Access Point within the allowed time, the package will be returned to us.

If a package is returned to CorkMart due to failed delivery attempts:
The customer will be responsible for the return shipping costs charged by UPS and the cost of re-shipping the item. Refunds for such returns will be net of all shipping costs incurred.
